MANILA, authorities spotted quarantine protocol violations in the latest Black Nazarene motorcade in Quiapo church last Monday September 14, 2020.
According to Police Lt. Col. John Guiagui they were informed that only a truck will carry the Black Nazarene but they failed to maintain social distancing which is a clear violation of quarantine law.
You can see in the video that many hijos or person that is safe guarding the Nazarene fails to distant themselves from one another.
This is so alarming knowing the fact that the country is still facing COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the government set its fang towards the church wherein they failed to coordinate to the local authorities especially the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) to assist them in case of a treat for mass crowding.
In the interview of Fr. Douglas Badong he clarified that the church will take full responsibility if the investigation sees a fault on their side.
Badong noted that they take the initiative to do the motorcade to bless the believers and also to give them hope to overcome the pandemic.
“Noong amin po naming pinaguusapan hindi namin ito ipinaalam, hindi namin in-announce, ang layunin namin motorcade lang para mabasbasan ‘yung ating pananampalataya,
He added they had formally notified the local government and also the Archbishop of Manila to conduct this benevolent activity.
As of now the authorities is still conducting serious investigation to know who side has multiple lapses and found guilty they will face possible charges by violating the law.
