Weather Update December 2, 2020: Low Pressure Area (LPA) Forecasted To Move Towards Areas Of Eastern Visayas And Bicol Region

PAGASA Bureau gives its updated report around 8:00 AM in the morning, the Low Pressure Area was forecasted to move closer towards the areas of Eastern Visayas and Bicol Region

This LPA remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours-PAGASA Bureau said

The LPA and the Tail-End of the Frontal System will bring moderate to heavy rains over Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, Albay, and Catanduanes

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains may experience over the areas of Bicol Region

Meanwhile, occasional to frequent light to moderate rains will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon

PAGASA Weather Bureau also warns locals for possible flooding and rain induced landslides that may occur during heavy and prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in areas that are identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards and in localities that received heavy rainfall over the past couples of days or weeks

The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices advised the public to take appropriate measures and to be more vigilant and careful for the possible risk and effect of this bad weather condition
